ORGANS AND THEIR SITES
The organs of Silbermann show an economic model range, a
uniformity in their details and a rational and simple overall construction. The high-quality material used and
its excellent processing guarantee the long-lastingness of his instruments. 31 of his organs are
preserved to date (Sites),
four of them in Freiberg. His other organs were destroyed by wars or fires,
demolished or altered completely by restorations.
